Announcing the 2017 HG Scholarship Recipients


Katherine Randolph- Berea-Midpark High School.  Katherine will be majoring in Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of America located at Hyde Park, New York. She will be majoring in Pastry Arts with a minor in Business. After working a few years, Katherine wants to open her own business.

 

 

 

 

 

Atlas Besenfelder – St. Ignatius High School
Atlas will be majoring in Environmental Science at Allegheny College. After spending time in the Domincan Republic as a missionary working on water purification systems, that he found clarity in regards to his career path, Environmental Science.

 

Maggie Lieb – Avon High School and Lorain County JVS.  Maggie will be majoring in Agriscience Education and Horticulture at The Ohio State University. As a Girl Scout, she earned the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. The Gold award was earned by establishing a vegetable garden at a food pantry. There she taught the patrons how to plant and grow their own food. Maggie wants to be a High School Agriculture teacher in the future.
