Karen will be collecting and weighing canned good donations which will be collected at our next two meetings for the Food Bank.
Congratulations! The Herb Guild Garden Club receives two Honorable Mention Awards for Publicity and the Website.
This is a statewide award with specific requirements that must be for consideration.
Barb Armstrong, publicity chair submitted the required publicity ‘Scrapbook” which received an Honorable Mention.
Fran Wilhelm, website manager maintains and updates the Herb Guild website regularly. The website must meet specific requirements as well as show that it is maintained with new information.
The Herb Guild is a member of the Garden Clubs of Ohio. The GCO states that it “supports endeavors in every aspect of gardening through educational programs, horticulture and floriculture”. The Herb Guild’s representative is Karen Maxa who regularly attends the meetings of the GCO, Cleveland District. As a member of the GCO, each Herb Guild member receives a copy of the quarterly publication, “Garden Greetings” which contains information from all of the area garden clubs along with important updates and articles on gardening and a list of state garden chairs and representatives with their contact information.
